My first teacher was the jazz great, Carl Dengler. In high school I got into the marching percussion scene which lead to a lot of years in drum corps, The Patriots, The Northmen, and The Empire Statesmen of Rochester, NY.  Along with many of my good friends we earned a number of world championships together which included high percussion honors each of the years I participated. Since that time I was a middle school band director for about ten years before changing vocational direction into web and Windows programming.  Currently, I'm interesting in performing with jazz ensembles, jazz quartets, symphonic bands, progressive rock and blues bands.

I have a Bachelor of Music from the Crane School of Music, studied with Jim Peterczak and a Master of Music Education from Nazareth College of Rochester , studied with Kristen Shiner-McGuire.  I have professional gear and experience.   My personality is laid back.  Large egos and pressure-heads, don't bother calling.
